Easter 2013

Easter festivities this year we're a lot of fun - both boys enjoyed time with family and some special activities and it goes without saying, seeing the world through their eyes and their excitement is always so much fun!

Leading up to Easter weekend James and Momma decorated eggs.  James, knowing all his colors this time around, was quite adamant about what colors the eggs had to be.  We ended up with some pretty looking eggs thanks to his handiwork - and this year I think we avoided stained hands!

The day before Easter we took the boys to Macy's in downtown Minneapolis for breakfast with the Easter Bunny and to see the flower show.  Everyone enjoyed breakfast - and I think Henry ate his weight in scrambled eggs that morning.  For the most part - it was an enjoyable experience, but James got pretty upset when he realized his "bunny face paint" was coming off as a result of him wiping his face off after finishing his breakfast.  This resulted in tears and a minor meltdown.

On the flip side, was this smiley little guy who was all giggles that morning.

Following breakfast that morning we headed to the 8th floor auditorium to see the flower show.  James got a kick out of running around and attempting to smell all the beautiful flowers - it was pretty cute to watch.

Easter morning started with baskets at home, followed by church as a family and then brunch with the entire Kamrath clan.  Grandma and Grandpa hosted and the boys got to see lots of family and we got a chance to catch up with everyone - and James was uncle b's helper in the kitchen!

The boys enjoyed their baskets and James enjoyed his gift from the Easter bunny - a little basketball hoop and ball that he can "shoot baskets" with in the basement.  This gift has been a blessing with the winter/spring we've been having that never seems to end!  James will spend time in the basement now each night when we get home shooting baskets and keeping himself busy and entertained while we work to get settled and dinner on the table at the end of the day.

A fun filled week with the kids and a celebration for all that we are blessed with as a family.
