Goldy's Track and James' Big Race!

James took part in the Goldy's Kid's Run at the University of Minnesota track in early February.  He was so excited to do the race again and was convinced he was going to do it all by himself - "I can run it all by myself mom."  So that's exactly what he did.  With some help from Mom to find his way to the starting line and waiting with him until the gun went off - he ran solo!

Mom ducked out of the track at about 50 meters in and he finished the mile race (4 times around) with his little arms pumping and legs moving to the finish line.  Momma and Papa were so proud of him and I'm sure we'll get a request from him for another kid's race soon.

Henry was excited to cheer on big brother as well and I'm sure we'll see him out there next year too - but James will probably leave us in the dust :)

Snow and Sledding Adventures

Here it is the beginning of April and we're still catching up on winter happenings ... and yet it's still snowing so I guess it's appropriate to continue to blog about the boys' snow and sledding adventures this past season.

James and Henry both took to the snow this year - thankfully given the amount of it that fell this season!  Whether it was sledding down the tiny hill the front yard or the big hill at the park they enjoyed every minute of it!  James particularly loved building a snowman this year with Mom and Henry got a kick out of seeing it everyday until it melted just a few weeks ago.  It stood the test of time!

The boys got little snow shovels for Christmas from Grandpa and Grandma Bragg as well and they've been quite eager to help with the shoveling work when it's been necessary - well played Grandma and Grandpa! :)

We're hopeful spring arrives soon - the calendar says it's here but we're not so sure about that yet.
