Deck the Halls!

In true fashion at our house - the Christmas tree went up the day after Thanksgiving ... if you're going to buy a real tree you might as well get your monies worth, right?

James was pretty excited about decorating the tree this year and it was fun to see him get into the holiday spirit.  Although all his ornaments ended up in about a 2 foot radius on a certain part of the tree it was still pretty cute!

He definitely "gets it" this year and has been talking non-stop about Christmas and when Santa is coming.  Egg nog has made its return to our house and he's been enjoying that with Papa as well.

We did get into the Elf on the Shelf this year ... that will be a separate post, but Ralph the Elf has made his presence known and he's been up to some pretty silly things at the house.

We are looking forward to the coming week with anticipation and are excited to share the holiday season with family.  We keep saying it, but it's really true, nothing compares to watching the holiday wonder through the eyes of a child.

Someone is on the Move!

A few weeks ago after returning from a weekend away Henry decided to share with us the new skill he mastered over the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's house - crawling!

Henry hasn't mastered speed just quite yet and still has a difficult time on the wood floors if he has pants on, but he's moving and James hasn't been too thrilled.  James has realized he can no longer keep things out of Henry's reach as Henry will find a way to reach things himself!

Baby gates will once again be making an appearance at our house and crib lowering is also on the agenda since Henry is also starting to pull himself up on things.

Look out world - I'm on the move!
