Henry got his first taste of cereal a few weeks ago and although he didn't protest it, he didn't seem to really like it either. How quickly we forgot what it was like to feed an infant again, but he did really well with it and we hope to continue to introduce new foods to him here in the coming weeks once our summer travels settle down a bit.
He might have worn more on his bib than what actually went into his tummy!

4-months!!
Henry had his 4-month check-up ... almost a month and a half ago... and he's doing great. He continues to impress us with his sleeping skills and is sleeping through the night about 80% of the time these days - which is a nice change from when James was the same age!
At his 4-month check up Henry weighed 11 lbs 12 oz. James at this age was 13 lbs 4 oz. He is a little peanut, just moving slowly along the growth chart, so we've been instructed to get a little more milk into his belly and were actually told we could start some solid foods with him as well. So we look forward to introducing some additional things to his diet here soon - oatmeal and meat anyone? Iron stores at this age are important so that's what we've been told to work on at this point. We'll introduce other fruit and veggie purees as well - once Mom gets into the kitchen to mix up some homemade food again.
Henry continues to be a happy smiley guy - and Dad has coined him the nick name - Guy Smiley, while Mom has been calling him Sweet Cheeks - how could you not with a grin like this and cheeks so squeezable!?!
We continue to enjoy our adventures with both the boys and James continues to be a wonderful big brother as evidenced here :)

Mankato Road Trip
Over Memorial Day weekend our college gang of friends traveled to Mankato to visit our friends the Lurkens. Eight kids and nine adults made for a full house - and the weather wasn't exactly ideal for playing outside, but we had a great time catching up and hanging out with the gang. Couldn't let the weekend go by without a few snapshots of all the kids together!
Henry and Eli - birthday buddies!!
All the "older" kids behaving on the couch ...
"Older" kids plus siblings!
Brotherly love ...
