The Littlest Sports Fan

James is pretty excited about the new Gopher and Twins Stadiums... so much so that we had to check them out this past week. We attended the Gopher scrimmage to preview our seats on Saturday ... and although he slept through most of the excitement he thought is was pretty cool. Closer to home, the grass is going in at Target Field this week so we've been keeping tabs on that and can't wait for the first pitch in April next year.

Lazy Summer Days

We continue to be blessed with visitors and meals this past week. Our bellies have not gone hungry that's for certain! Thanks to those who have filled our fridge and cooked in our kitchen - it has been much appreciated!
James had an eventful week - he met his buddy Elliot and was introduced to the Wall Street Journal care of Daddy. He looks enamoured already, doesn't he?
The Clark household is getting into a rhythm with Mr. James and look forward to seeing many of you again soon ... or meeting you for the first time in the weeks to come!

Urban Adventures ...

Spent yesterday and today exploring the city with Mom and Dad. Traveled to the bank and the Government Center and went on a long walk down by the river. The fresh air sure makes me sleep good, but don't tell Mom and Dad that :)

We continue to be blessed with visitors - even Great Grandma Clark made a visit from Wisconsin yesterday and I was on my best behavior. Dad and Mom are getting the hang of things now and in a routine - lots of exciting adventures still to be had and they can't wait to share them with me.

Which is Which??

Mom and Dad had fun looking through baby pictures of Daddy...we thought we’d ask you: Which Clark is Which? Both had lots of hair and crumpled ears and Blue tint eyes to begin with...both pictures were taken immediately following birth…Enjoy!

A Day of Storms Outside ... Calm at the Clark Household

It's funny how having a little one suddenly makes you more aware of your surroundings and pay attention to details that in the past might not have caused any worries. Tonight's tornado warning and storms had us doing exactly that as we watched things developed and realized we had another life to tend to and keep safe.

In reflecting on the storms outside this evening the earlier part of the day was calm. James got a little bath today and didn't seem to mind too much - his umbilical cord stump is almost all dried up, and were hoping it falls out soon as it's a bit stinky! We had visitors over this evening for dinner - our new friends whom we met last week when Heather went into labor at their house as we were there for a bday party for a mutual friend of ours. It was fun to get to know them better and we are truly grateful for the people we've met in this journey of parenthood - it just keeps getting better all the time!

Tomorrow we plan to venture out of the house for a good portion of the day - it should be an adventure and we'll just take things as they come.

We again feel truly blessed to have welcomed little James into the world and we continue to give thanks for each experience we are sharing with him.

Day 4 of Parenthood

After a blissful night after arriving home from the hospital Monday, we had an evening of "equilibrium" last night. Six hours of fusiness and a rumbling belly didn't agree with our little James. Let's hope tonight isn't a repeat performance. Needless to say we still think he's the cutest little being and can't get enough of him, even if he's preventing us from getting any sleep.

We've appreciated all the notes of love and encouragement from friends and family and look forward to sharing more about James in the days to come.

Home From the Hospital

Hello everybody! We have welcomed James Patrick home to Downtown Minneapolis. He enjoyed meeting all of the friendly Nurses and Assistants at Fairview and now is looking forward to many firsts! Baths. Naps. Diaper Changes. Etc.
This is our first Blog and our foray into social media. This should be fun. This will be his exploration. Can't wait to explore with you James.
Love, Mom & Dad
