So We've Been a Little Busy ...

Our apologies for not posting an update for those whom are following Jumping Bean's Journey - it's just that life has been a little busy. Between Dad finishing up his last semester of school, Mom entering her busy season at work and me eating and eating (did I mention eating?) we sort of lost track of time and realized it has been almost four weeks since we last posted. The camera is still rolling these days though so not to worry. Here's a recap of the last several weeks.

Great Grandma Barthol and I - she's a funny lady - can't you tell from the smile on my face? We had dinner at her house a few weeks ago. Can't wait to someday try Grandma's famous tacos myself - even dad liked them!
Me and Grandpa Mark Mark - he's always making funny noises and faces at me and I try to do the same. What's that on my head? Grandma and Grandpa Kamrath joined us for dinner at Great Grandma's too.
Mom had all my buddies from her New Mom's group over for a visit two weekends ago. We've all gotten big and now we can even babble to each other. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and catch up.
Mom and Dad keep talking about something called the Olympics - not sure what those are yet but I do know hockey. I can't wait to put on some skates soon and show them my skills. I've gotta work on my puck handling skills until then!

After all these adventures I needed a nap - truly I can sleep anywhere and in any position. I'm still pretty good about letting mom and dad finally get some sleep. I guess they deserve it too.

Mom went out of town last weekend and me and Dad had some of our own adventures. We'll write about those soon!

6 Months

Wow ... where did the last 6 months go? It's hard to believe our little guy is already 6 months old. We as parents can now relate to our parents who continue to remind us that this time goes by so quickly. James had his 6 month check up on Tuesday this week and he is doing great. He now weighs 17.5 lbs - right on target for his age. His head size on the other hand exceeds the 95th percentile - and boy is it busy these days!

James has managed to learn to roll over from his back to his belly, he has started eating fruits and cereal, is almost sitting up unassisted and drum roll please ... sleeping through the night (for the first time ever for four straight days!) - and all of this in the last week! So his mind is keeping busy to say the least. Now that he's spending more time on his belly he's got those legs going too like they'll take him somewhere soon - so he'll be mobile soon I'm sure.
Auntie Megan came over this past weekend to take his 6-month pictures so we'll share some of those on here soon too!
