Around March/April Mom and Dad noticed that James' was having trouble focusing his eyes, particularly in the evening when he was getting tired, and one was crossing quite a bit. A visit to the pediatric opthalmologist in mid-May led to a diagnosis (adaptive strabismus) and he is now the proud owner of some cute glasses that he'll have to wear until hopefully his eye muscle is retrained on how to focus on things in the distance.
In some cases children need to have surgery to correct the issue, but the doctor was hopeful given his age that the glasses should take care of it. We'll go back in mid-July for another check-up and to ensure the glasses are doing what they should be doing. In the mean time Mom and Dad will work our hardest to get James to try to keep his glasses on his head at all times - now that's a challenge!!

Pitter Patter ... Henry is on the Move!!
Watch out Minneapolis-St. Paul, Henry is on the move! Starting on Momma's birthday, our little guy started walking and by gosh, he hasn't slowed down since. Here he wanted to be like his big brother and Papa and walk on the rail platform. He had a train to catch to go to his first Twins game of the season!
After getting to the Twins game, he enjoyed walking around the concourse at Target Field. It took extra care and extra steps and he was happy to find his seat!
Momma and Papa got the biggest kick out of his "Prayer" walk as he started to step. As a form of balancing, he would hold his hands together and start walking. What fun!

Now that he's walking on train platforms and walking in stadiums, he's ready to wear Papa's shoes and maybe head to work. Momma and Papa say, don't grow up too fast "Me Boy!" We like you in your little guy shoes for now.
One of the best parts of being able to walk is checking out all of the neighbors yards and following this path around the house!
Now that I can climb stairs and follow the "Yellow Brick Road" to the street, Momma and Papa say I have to be very careful. I will be. I'm only going to cross when I'm holding a hand. I'm having a lot of fun watching my big brother and his antics with his friends across the street. "Ah!"
