On the Ice!

James donned a pair of skates for the first time a few weeks ago (after some Christmas cookies for energy of course) - and he loved it!

He was a little timid at first and fell a few times, but then got more comfortable on his feet the second time we went and Dad went out on the ice with him.  He still needs a lot of help, and a new helmet due to his ever growing noggin' but and he's already looking forward to his next time on the ice ... hopefully sometime soon! 

We figure it won't be too long before he's skating circles around us, but for now we'll just let him take the lead on the speed he wants to go!
