James and Papa went to the Twins game so that Mom could relax a bit with Henry. This was a big night for James as he was able to go out on a school night and go to "downtown Minneapolis" to "Target Field" and see "Beisball" and his "Twins playing" against Cleveland.
James is getting pretty good at taking the train. He even recommended it. Papa picked him up at daycare and instead of going that way (home), we went that way and parked the car at the park and ride at the Metrodome. "We're going to take the choo choo to Target Field Papa!"
We got off the train at "the last stop" and James was very excited to hold the ticket so that he could sit in his very own seat.
I tried to get a picture of James' very own hot dog, but he ate it so fast (along with the ketchup) that I barely caught it here. James was intently watching the batter and heard someone say "he can not hit" and kept repeating it. Unfortunately for us, it was Twins batters he was referring to :(
James was very excited to visit TC Bear at Target Field. We went over to Target Plaza so he could say hello to TC Bear and tell him how cool he is. While standing by TC Bear, we heard what sounded like the Root Beer guy. Only tonight he was selling Pretzels. James visited with him and we have a video of him with the root beer guy yelling, "Root Root Root Root Beer! Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Root Beer for $4.75 delivery!"
James also enjoyed saying hello to Target Field's newest signature attraction: Bullseye the Target Dog. The dog says "woof woof Papa and he doesn't play beisball, people do!" The Twins staged a comeback that night, but lost 5-4. James wasn't keeping track based on his smiles and fun.
It was time to leave the game and James knew exactly what to do and where to go. "We have to catch the train now myPapa and go get the car at the lot!" (note: when he's really excited, he says myMomma or myPapa). We had a wonderful night at the ballpark and enjoyed a early version of what we envision as guys night - with Papa and James.
