Firsts
Henry seems to be growing by leaps and bounds these past few weeks. At his 2 month well-child check-up he weighed in at 9 lbs 8 oz and his length was 21 3/4 inches - so I guess our assumptions were true! The past week or so has been full of many firsts - first night sleeping in his crib, first smiles caught on camera, first coos and first night staying at Grandma's and Grandpa's house.
James continues to have firsts too - they just aren't at as frequent as Henry's at this stage obviously. Some of these firsts aren't exactly ideal either... first meltdown at the doctor's office - yikes! But other firsts include ... yes, a potty training breakthrough, #2 in the potty - and first swing of a t-ball bat! We keep reminding ourselves that all the changes at home haven't been smooth sailing for any of us - less sleep for all and more constraints to what we can do and James I'm sure has noticed this as well. So as much as we are trying to take it all in stride, we have to realize there are reasons he's been acting out a bit more than usual. But overall, James continues to be a great big brother and helps Henry explore his world!
