Celebrations with Family and Friends & Just Some Odds and Ends in a Day in the Life of James!

We started the month of March off celebrating Daddy's birthday with Breakfast at Grandma and Grandpa Clark's for breakfast.  James enjoyed pancakes (I think he ate 4!) and we enjoyed some first glimpses of spring outside the window - a cardinal looking for some food.

Later that same weekend James spent some time at Grandma and Grandpa Kamrath's so Mom and Dad could go out with friends to celebrate. James doesn't go anywhere these days without his blanket (his kee-kee) and a book. He has his favorites, but at the Kamrath's he's got a book about a Puppy that he loves to look through. Here he is reading it with Grandpa Mark. Lots of birds outside the screen patio here too - which is what I think James is looking at here.

More recently we attended a Gopher Hockey game with Anna, Jon and their daughter Greta.  James was very interested in Goldy and kept his eye on him but wasn't keen on getting a high five or saying hello to the furry creature.  Greta on the other hand was pretty content - long enough anyway to get a cute shot of her on Goldy's lap for the camera!

We had a dinner celebration recently with the Kamrath clan to celebrate Daddy's and Megan's birthdays.  James doesn't miss much when it comes to chatting on phones and loves to grab any phone that's available.  James took off with Aimee's phone and was talking up a storm.  He loves to say hello and then gibbers into the phone while he's walking around.  Not sure what plans he's got up his sleeve, but the "Hel-woo!" is priceless!

James has taken to hockey swinging his stick around the house and lately he's been interested in checking out Daddy's hockey bag for good measure too.  (Daddy got a nice big new bag for his birthday from Mommy.)  Check out the size of this thing!  James could fit in there in addition to all of Daddy's equipment - but Mom won't allow that to happen.  But James does love to climb on top of it and recently also discovered Dad's squirting water bottle.  That for now, will need to be stored in the bottom of the bag before we discover wet floors and another mess to clean up!

James' daycare teacher Megan loves to play with the kids - obviously that's a requirement for a daycare provider, right?  But she always jokes the girls love to have her put pigtails and braids in their hair - and the boys, well they need some styled hair too, right?  Hairstylist Megan to the rescue.  James and the boys in his class with longer hair all sported their new styled 'dos at daycare last week.

James has been busy at school and busy at home.  We have been anxiously anticipating spring so we can get outside and let our cabin fever subside and let him run some energy off.  Here's hoping dry, warm weather arrives soon!
